IPENZ is currently working with Energy Library to further develop an engineering library service to the profession.

The first of the initiatives is a monthly bulletin highlighting new books, reports and journal articles of interest to engineers in New Zealand. It covers broad engineering topics such as building services engineering, fire engineering, structural, concrete, water, wastewater and more. Also includes project engineering, cost engineering and general management.

• IPENZ Engineering Reference Collection
• IPENZ Historical Collection

IPENZ would sponsor the active collection of books, journals, photos, drawings, and maps that reflect New Zealand's engineering heritage. Members would be encouraged to contribute.

The collection would include:

• Books by NZ engineers
• Photographs and other material relating to investment in NZ energy projects
• NZ journals and periodicals
• Old engineering journals
