The IPENZ governing Board presents the MacLean Citation from time to time to persons considered worthy of special recognition. It is awarded to an IPENZ Member.

Award background and previous recipients

The award was established to perpetuate the memory of Francis William MacLean, President of the Institution in 1922. The citation recognises a Member who displays exceptional devotion to the engineering profession and fellow engineers.

Nomination process and award presentation

The Board adjudicates the award. There is no formal nomination process for the citation. However, if you feel there is an IPENZ Member who displays the qualities embodied by the citation, please write to the IPENZ Chief Executive outlining how the nominee meets the awards' ideals.
