Our Governing Board

The Board is responsible for the governance of IPENZ, providing the broad establishment of policy objectives, agreeing these with the Chief Executive, and monitoring their implementation. Elected to represent the interests of the members, the Board concentrates on the strategic policy and planning issues of IPENZ as well as acting as employer for the Chief Executive.

The President, Deputy President and Vice-President all hold one year terms which expire at the Annual General meeting in March each year. Other Board members are elected for two year terms. Each year, three members are elected by the membership, and a fourth member maybe appointed by the Board.

Nominations for the Board are called by the Chief Executive in the final quarter of each calendar year, and the election then proceeds in the first quarter of the following calendar year. The results are announced at the Annual General Meeting in March and new members take up their role at this time.
